Each National Geographic-branded family entertainment center will offer a unique opportunity to play and explore through themed attractions, interactive demonstrations and hands-on workshops in a fun and immersive environment that ignites kids’ curiosity about the world. Sony indoor theme park, adjacent water park planned for Albertville

(JANUARY 19, 2016) A Minnesota development group and Sony Pictures Consumer Products are teaming up to build a Hollywood-themed family destination that is to include a mini indoor amusement park — filled with activities and experiences based on Sony’s movie characters and themes such as “Smurfs” and “Men in Black.” It also will include a Marriott hotel and a large indoor water park. The project, estimated to cost $115 million and create 2,000 jobs in Minnesota, has initial support from elected officials, including Albertville Mayor Jillian Hendrickson and Gov. Mark Dayton. Ice Age comes to Indonesia

(May, 23 2014) The Indonesian amusement park Ancol launched a new Ice Age themed attraction last month, featuring an immersive flume ride. Inspired by the hit animated films, Ice Age Arctic Adventure was realised in partnership with 20th Century Fox Consumer Products and iP2 Entertainment by Pure Imagination Studios of Los Angeles and ride manufacturers Hopkins and Zierer. The indoor flume ride at the heart of the experience invites Ancol guest to make a voyage with Sid’s Arctic Tours, where they are “guaranteed to get chills.” The journey is filled with animatronic characters, glaciers, geysers, waterfalls and other scenery, plus additional Ice Age multimedia content created especially for the attraction.
